How a round works

Your mind is the only tool allowed in the room.

Pick a problem

Every problem is a real African challenge and pays in points that build your rank.

Start the clock

The full problem only appears when you start. The poster sets the time limit. When it hits zero, whatever you've typed is submitted.

Type it yourself

Paste and drag-in are switched off, and the problem text can't be copied out. Every keystroke is timed, so an answer typed from scratch looks like one.

Get marked, climb the board

Answers are marked instantly. The top solvers at the end of the week or month may be rewarded.
